So today, on the last day the IRS allows one to postmark a 1099 , Dad gets a letter from Citibank… It seems that Citibank, the transfer agent / agent of record, for several of his investments has inadvertantly sent his 1099s to other investors. Now they didn’t quantify how many people received copies of his full name, address, social security number and holdings, only that it have been mailed out to other investors. They went on to say sorry, and that they’d watch the account for unusual trading activity! Can you believe that? Let me repeat it - they sent his federal tax documents on earnings and holdings to god knows who! Understanably, he blew a 50 Amp fuse. A call to Citibank yielded nothing. They won’t even send him a copy of the 1099s (that he didn’t get) until they print duplicates mid March!
The weekend games went 1 and 2. Sam’s Generals played exteremely well, but lost to Soudertown. Meg’s H20s lost, decisevly to the Royal Blues. However, Kate’s Yellow Lightnings team played, and won, an exciting game Friday night - and Kate even scored!
We had a wonderful weekend! Old Chagrinite friends the Russo’s paid us a visit - it was great seeing them again. Unfortunately, Penn State fell in the waining seconds (literally) of the Michigan game. And Sam’s (captain) team did not fair well, at all, against Penn Dell. However, Meg’s H2Os made us proud - beating Lyonsville 2-1!
