“Cheesesteak in Paradise”

He says that he only changes the words to this song in one town… Kel, Sam, and I hit the Citizens Bank Park tonight (with the Esbenshades) to see one of the greats - Jimmy Buffet! What a fantastic show! In addition to covers from the Boss, Van Morrison and the Dead he played all his hits. But to me, the highlight of the night was when he played the first of two encores. When the band came back out on the stage they played my favorite song of all time - Southern Cross!

Upgrades

It wasn’t quite as smooth as Jon led me to believe it would be, but my MovableType upgrade is done!

Happy Anniversary!

To me, and my lovely wife Kelly. It’s been 13 wonderful years since the two of us pioneered the Destination Wedding, and we’re both still anxiously looking forward to the next 13 years. I love you Kel, thanks for all the great times.

Hot August Nights

Kel took me, last night, to do something that I’ve always wanted to do - see Neil Diamond! Neil put on a truly fabulous show at the Wachovia Centre, playing all of the classics. It was one of those concerts when everyone is up dancing, clapping and singing. Everyone was having a great time, and continued to all the way undergound… Our “Orange Line” car was rocking from Pattison to City Hall - with everyone onboard belting out Sweet Caroline, Coming To America, etc.! Thanks Kelly.

Random Thoughts

So Jon says to me just now, “If biblical creation is to believed, then why are we bothering sending NASA into space to look for other life forms?” Kind of makes one think that the Republican / Christian Coalition message is a mixed one…
