I've been burned enough in the past that you would have thought that I'd know better... If I'm giving a gift that involves a computer peripheral or software I always open it up and install it before giving it - that way I'm ensured Christmas morning, birthday, etc. all goes well. I didn't do that with this year's high tech gift, to Kel, and I got burned bad...
Happy 100th anniversary to the 2nd people to make a heavier-than-air powered flight! The first flight, of course, happened more then 6 months earlier then the Wright brothers - in New Zealand. Richard Pearse was already making 1 km flights (with turns!) by the time the the Wright brothers got off the ground. Still, today is an important day that we shouldn't forget.
Mom is in the hospital, and will likely go under the knife this afternoon - to have her gall bladder (above) removed. What is a gall bladder? The gall bladder, in essence, is like a capacitor - storing a charge until it is needed. Gall bladders capture bile as it seaps out of the liver, and accumulate it until your body needs it to help with digestion. When the body takes in fatty foods the gall bladder contracts and releases the bile into the intestine to aid in digestion. Doesn't that sound pleasant?
Our thoughts are with you Momma! Hope all goes well.
Lots of folks looking for cars these days... Kel's lease on the
family
truckster is up, Dad is looking at the new A8's, and Mom is shopping
for a new truck. Even Jon is threatening to buy a car! If I didn't have
specific vehicle needs (eg kids) I think I'd get something fun like the
mini above.
I took Sam to
dream after bass lessons tonight...
On our way to Double Bass lessons I decided to test out my new
Kingston SD card. If you're seeing the sunset over Mayfield Road then the card is working as planned!
